About this website
These terms govern the use of janekratz.com and the course materials and facilitator resources supplied through it.
The website provides information about The Comfort of God in Grief, a nine-week, facilitator-led Christian grief care course developed by Jane Kratz.
Website operator: Jane kratz
Email: author@janekratz.comPurpose of the course
The Comfort of God in Grief combines biblical teaching, personal reflection and small-group discussion to support people experiencing bereavement.
The course and website provide educational and pastoral resources. They do not replace individual medical care, psychological assessment, psychiatric treatment or emergency support.
Experiences of grief differ, and participation does not guarantee a particular outcome or recovery timeframe.
Using the website
Please use this website lawfully and respectfully. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, distribute harmful software or misuse another person’s information.
Information supplied in enquiries, orders and access applications should be accurate and submitted with the necessary authority.
Copyright and permitted use
Unless otherwise identified, the course text, manuals, presentations, templates and other original resources are owned by Jane Kratz or used with permission. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.
Purchasing a manual or receiving facilitator access does not transfer copyright.
Except where permitted by law or expressly authorised, you may not reproduce, translate, resell, publicly upload or distribute the manuals or restricted resources.
Each participant should obtain their own copy of the Participant’s Resource Manual. Facilitators should obtain both the Facilitator’s Resource Manual and the Participant’s Resource Manual.
Facilitator resources
Access to restricted resources is intended for approved facilitators preparing and running The Comfort of God in Grief.
Approved facilitators may use the resources for their own course groups in accordance with the instructions accompanying each resource. Templates and selected slides identified as editable may be personalised with course dates, venues, contact details and other designated information.
Please retain copyright notices and acknowledgements. Permission to personalise a template does not authorise changes to the underlying course teaching, translation of the materials or redistribution of the resource collection.
Access credentials and restricted download links must not be shared publicly or with unauthorised users.
Facilitator approval relates to access to course resources. It does not, by itself, constitute a professional qualification, accreditation or authority to act on Jane Kratz’s behalf.
Independently organised courses
Where a church, organisation or independent facilitator runs a course, that organiser is responsible for its arrangements, including registration, fees, venues, scheduling, participant care and handling of personal information.
Please confirm the organiser’s participation and cancellation terms before registering. Purchasing course manuals does not automatically reserve a place in a group.
Ordering course manuals
For direct orders in South Africa, please contact Jane using the course-material enquiry form or the email address above.
Before an order is finalised, you will receive confirmation of the materials, availability, total price, applicable taxes, delivery charges and payment arrangements.
Submitting an enquiry is not, by itself, a confirmed order.
If we discover an error affecting your order, we will contact you to explain it and agree on the next step. Additional charges or substitutions require your agreement.
Purchases made through Amazon are handled by the seller identified on Amazon and are subject to the applicable seller and platform terms.
Cancellations, returns and damaged goods
For a direct order, contact author@janekratz.com with your order details if you wish to cancel or if goods arrive damaged, defective or incorrect.
Applicable statutory cancellation, return and refund rights remain available. These terms do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule.
For Amazon purchases, use the relevant Amazon order-support and returns process.
Participant privacy and confidentiality
Facilitators are expected to handle participant information and personal stories with care and establish appropriate confidentiality expectations within their groups.
Participants should not record sessions or share another person’s story, image or personal information without appropriate permission. Group confidentiality cannot be guaranteed solely by these website terms.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information collected through this website is handled.
External links and services
The website includes links to or content from external providers, including Google, YouTube and Amazon.
Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their availability, content or information-handling practices.
Availability and responsibility
We take reasonable care with website information and resources, but errors, interruptions or technical faults may occur. Please contact us if you find a problem.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for gross negligence, or limits rights provided by applicable consumer law.
Changes and access restrictions
We may update website information and resources. The date above identifies the latest version of these terms.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase or agreement. Material changes affecting an ongoing arrangement will be communicated where required.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, unauthorised distribution or security concerns. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Applicable law and enquiries
These terms are governed by South African law, without removing mandatory rights that may apply in another jurisdiction.
Please send questions or complaints to author@janekratz.com. You retain the right to approach an applicable regulator, ombud or court.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
